Only real downside was the lack of bedside lamps. the main switch near the door was the only means to control lighting, making late-night reads a challenge. The soda machine was outdated too, not allowing credit card purchases—meaning a coke was out of reach without change. Lastly, though the price seemed a bit high for Hallettsville, other local hotels were pricier.

I was in town for a horse show and stayed in a Double Room. The front desk employee was incredibly nice and even gave me a thoughtful little goodie bag with snacks and a bottle of water. The room was super clean, very comfortable, and nicely decorated, making my stay a pleasant one.
There were no bedside lamps for extra lighting.
